Defining and identification of problems is one among the major things in decision making process and it is best formed when it is build upon the judgement of the users. Thus research project was conceived to identify the major limitations or constraints in the digitalisation of microfinance. The method adopted was by eliciting the response of the beneficiaries by using a pre-tested structured questionnaire developed for the purpose. The clients were selected from the first and most literate district of India. Garrets ranking and its calculation technique was used to find out the most important constraints. Once the scores for each statement was ranked the mean value of the scores were calculated under each of the ten major subheads and ranked. The results of the study revealed that the foremost constraint was male dominance. Frequent travelling and observance of suggestion to employers ranked second and third. Contrary to the normal expectations, the monetary constraints, skill and knowledge constraints and time constraints ranked tenth, ninth and eight respectively. The study gives a deep insight into the actual problems faced by the clients of the microfinance sector in its ontogenic transformation to the digitalisation.
