Trends in ChatGPT Adoption for Education: A Bibliometric Analysis of Use
摘要
The adoption of AI in education has transformed learning, yet research on ChatGPT remains fragmented, with gaps in effectiveness, ethics, and scalability. This study analyzes ChatGPT adoption using bibliometric analysis, examining research trends, key contributors, and dominant themes. Data from Scopus and VOSviewer (2289 publications) mapped publication trends and thematic areas. Research peaked in 2024 but declined in early 2025, indicating field maturation. The United States, China, Ukraine, and India lead contributions, with emerging efforts from Germany, Australia, Turkey, and Malaysia. Journal articles dominate, while conference papers highlight collaboration. Key themes include “ChatGPT,” “Artificial Intelligence,” and “Higher Education.”
