Extending the UTAUT Model: Transparency and Decentralization as Key Drivers of Blockchain Adoption in Logistics
摘要
The Fourth Industrial Revolution brings transformative technologies, but logistics managers face challenges in adopting innovations like blockchain. While supply networks are made more transparent, secure, and traceable with blockchain technology, its adoption drivers remain unclear, necessitating further research. This study expands the UTAUT model by examining how performance expectancy, effort expectancy, facilitating conditions, transparency, and decentralization influence blockchain adoption in logistics. All factors positively impact blockchain adoption. Performance and effort expectancy enhance efficiency and usability, facilitating conditions provide support, transparency builds trust, and decentralization strengthens security, reinforcing adoption intent. The study provides insights for logistics firms, policymakers, and technology providers, highlighting transparency, decentralization, and support as key adoption drivers.
