Assessing the Impact of Industry 4.0 on Healthcare Productivity in Morocco: A Dynamic CGE Model Analysis
摘要
Industry 4.0, or the Fourth Industrial Revolution, is transforming industries by integrating digital technologies. The healthcare sector is particularly affected, with advancements in treatment, diagnosis, patient monitoring, and system management. This paper analyzes the impact of Industry 4.0 on Morocco’s economy, healthcare productivity, and labor demand using a CGE model. Our findings show that while Industry 4.0 drives GDP and sectoral growth, its effects on employment and wages vary. Agriculture benefits from job and wage growth, whereas industry, services, and healthcare face job losses and wage stagnation despite higher productivity. These disparities highlight the risk of technological unemployment, emphasizing the need for proactive policies to ensure inclusive economic progress.
