The analysis of one-dimensional divergence form problems is carried out again but this time perturbed by a bounded potential. In fact, for piecewise constant coefficients (and potentials), a solution criterion for the corresponding \(L_2\) -problem is given. This criterion is further analysed in the forthcoming chapters.
