In Named Data Networking (NDN), in-network caching is crucial in optimizing network performance and enhancing data delivery efficiency. This paper introduces a novel age-based caching policy specifically designed for NDN clusters. The proposed policy effectively manages content placement and replacement by considering content age, popularity, and size. By minimizing content redundancy, increasing the cache hit ratio, and reducing the frequency of caching operations, this policy offers a significant improvement over traditional caching strategy.
