Despite technological advancements, the human factor remains a vulnerable and enticing target for malicious actors. This paper delves into the multifaceted realm of successful phishing attacks, recognizing the psychological dimension as a pivotal battleground. Focused on the vulnerabilities inherent in the human psyche, we undertake a nuanced exploration of social engineering techniques directed at the weakest link in security—humans. Leveraging real-world scenarios and deploying Natural Language Processing (NLP) and machine learning, our study illuminates the heightened sensitivity of successful attacks, particularly among the demographic of young individuals. The key contribution of this paper is to go beyond traditional technical paradigms to scrutinize the impact of contextual parameters, specifically delving into the influence of emotional states on the success of phishing attacks and proposing the reinforced defensive awareness framework (RDAF). By immersing ourselves in authentic situations, we unravel the intricate relationship between the mood in which an attack unfolds and its efficacy. This analysis sheds light on the evolving dynamics of cyber threats, especially within the context of the younger generation.
