In-Depth Analysis of the Stress-Strain State of the Three-Section Floating Dock PD-190 “MOSOR” Project Under Dynamic Loads

This study presents a comprehensive nonlinear analysis of the stress-strain state (SSS) of the three-section floating dock PD-190 “MOSOR” project, constructed in 1985 in Croatia, with a lifting capacity of 60,000 tons. Unlike conventional static calculations with rigid fixation, the analysis was performed using the Transient Structural module of the ANSYS software, allowing the modeling of the dock’s position on water without rigid constraints. The study considers both material and geometric nonlinearities, as well as the influence of water filling on the dock’s ability to lift ships. Special attention is given to assessing critical zones within the structure and determining the maximum vessel mass that the dock can safely lift. The results demonstrate the reliability and efficiency of the dock’s design under various operational scenarios.
