Chapter 3 focuses on an overview of the published academic and professional psychosocial literature—both before and after October seventh—concerning the topics of psychosocial trauma, coping mechanisms, resilience and/or post-traumatic growth exhibited by people in the Otef Aza warzone, as well as psychosocial methods for treating such trauma. We then look at three psychosocial conceptualizations that aided us in our psychosocial analyses of the narrative interviews and materials from the social media that we collected: the concept of intractable conflict, Bar-Tal’s categorization of societal beliefs for coping with intractable conflict—the Ethos of Conflict (EOC)—and cognitive dissonance.

摘要
