Discussion, Conclusions, and Proposals
摘要
In this final chapter, we present the main findings of our longitudinal study, which answer the question: What is the meaning of life for Israelis living along the border with the Gaza Strip, pre- and post-October 7th? We analyze these findings mainly in connection with Bar-Tal’s conceptualization of the Ethos of Conflict. Moreover, we offer ideas for concrete dialogical work on the ground, based on the use of personal narratives, that connect to the concepts of hope and sustainable peacebuilding, with groups of people from the Otef Aza region and between Israelis and Gaza. The four proposals offered in this chapter are perceived as having the potential to help residents and communities heal.
