This paper investigates the complex association between sustainable development and financial inclusion in Pakistan. Hence, the nature of the research undertaken in this study is one that integrates economic development, the economy, the environment, and renewable energy. The current state of financial inclusion in Pakistan links its status to the different aspects of the development issue. They provide some recommendations to address the financial inclusion gap in Pakistan particularly in the sectors of fossil fuel, public investment in renewable energy, CO2 emission, low carbon imports and exports. The strategies proposed above are not only capable of improving the level of financial inclusion but also capable of improving the economic, environmental, and social development.
