Current Evidence and Key Considerations in Choosing Harvesting Cannulas

This chapter provides an in-depth analysis of the design characteristics essential for selecting optimal harvesting cannulas in fat grafting. Key factors influencing cannula design—such as internal diameter, port size, port number, port geometry, length, hub type, shape, and tip style—are defined and evaluated for their impact on the quality, efficiency, and safety of the grafting process. An overview of current scientific evidence on various cannula designs is presented, along with an assessment of the limitations in existing study methodologies.
