Biology and Therapeutic Potential of Stromal Vascular Fraction/Adipose Tissue-Derived Stem Cells
摘要
This chapter delves into the biology and transformative capacities of adipose tissue-derived stem cells (ADSCs). We initiate our exploration with an in-depth examination of the cellular components within the adipose tissue and stromal vascular fraction (SVF). We further provide a comprehensive characterization of ADSCs. This includes shedding light on their unique cellular marker profiles, proliferation, differentiation potential, anatomic location, and cellular origin. Furthermore, this chapter discusses the advanced stage of ADSCs in research and their emerging status in therapeutic realms. It emphasizes the advantages of ADSCs over other types of stem cells in regenerative medicine. In particular, this chapter underscores the potential of human ADSCs as a promising stem cell source for treating a spectrum of ailments. These applications range from wound healing to combating neurodegeneration and repairing heart injuries. Collectively, this chapter presents a holistic view of the remarkable capabilities of ADSCs, emphasizing their unparalleled potential to revolutionize therapeutic applications.
