The study aimed to explain the recent developments of digital transformation within modern banks. Banking institutions faced a significant challenge due to the rapid evolution of business mechanisms, tools, and modern technologies. Consequently, how will banking institutions can shifting their operations from traditional to digital modern transactions, comparable to their foreign and Arab counterparts? Digital transformation in banks is now considered an essential and imperative topic to keep up with other countries that have emerged due to the global revolution in electronic business technology. The research aimed to highlight the importance of digital transformation in banking operations within banks to enhance banking operations and benefit from other countries’ experiences in digital business operations. The researchers adopted a descriptive and analytical study approach, focusing on a sample of private Iraqi banks. This includes keeping up with global developments that align with the situation in Iraqi banks regarding the means used in Iraqi banks. The researchers concluded that Iraqi banks can learn from the study’s findings the importance of intensifying their investments in advanced technologies, such as artificial intelligence and data analytics, to enhance modern digital transformation operations due to their significant importance in elevating banking operations and spreading banking awareness among citizens.
