This chapter aims to organize the diverse arguments put forth by Nicolae Paulescu over the years to support his antisemitic viewpoint. A review of his writings reveals that his central thesis revolves around the purported conspiratorial actions of Jews, portraying Jewishness in both racial and religious frames. As we will explore, Paulescu, writing as a politician, physician, or prophet, alternates when describing Jewishness and suggesting remedies for “the problem.” Depending on who is talking and who is enforcing the solution, the Jews are meant to be either expelled from Romanian territory or marked for extermination.
