In the conditions of today’s economies, struggling with economic problems (inflation) or social problems (pandemic, warfare, lack of employment stability), many companies are forced to seek new solutions to enable survival in the markets. Setting new directions can take on a diverse nature, including those related to the implementation of innovative solutions, searching for sources of waste occurring in processes, or using quality engineering tools to determine the causes of non-conformities in products or services provided. Non-conforming products are undoubtedly a source of waste (resources, funds, time), and it is necessary not only to monitor the number of their production but also to look for the causes causing their occurrence. In the literature on the subject, there is a multitude of methods, techniques, and tools, the aim of which is, among others, cause-and-effect diagnosis of non-conformities in a product or service. The article presents practical aspects of using the quality engineering method - FMEA analysis on the example of a selected decorative element manufactured by a manufacturing company in the automotive industry. The article aims to identify nonconformities in the finished product, analyse the causes of their occurrence, and evaluate the implemented corrective actions using FMEA analysis.

摘要
