Many endophytic fungi, including mosses, liverworts, and hornworts, lurk in the cells of the bryophytes without clear expression. Apart from their importance for the surroundings, these fungi are well-known for generating original bioactive molecules. This chapter looks at an endophytic fungus in relationship with bryophytes from several origins, including may be created in laboratories from extremely hostile environments like Antarctica. By methods of isolation and identification, one discovered a large range of fungal species; many of them are well-adapted to adverse conditions. The studies expose the complex connections among the fungus coexisting with bryophytes. It also shows how microorganisms would help biotechnology and environmental monitoring.
