Pros & Cons of Second Generation Intact Stability Criteria
摘要
This paper analyses in some detail the possible criticalities connected with the development and assessment of Second Generation Intact Stability Criteria for which the Interim Guidelines have recently been issued by IMO. It appears that they can be related to criticalities inherited from previous interim Criteria, to the sometimes unclear role of Operational Measures in the different levels of stability assessment, and to the difficulties in the updating of the standards as a consequence of climate deterioration.
