The Nexus Between Artificial Chatbots and Individual Creativity

This study aims to analyse the relationship between the use of artificial intelligence Chatbots and individual creativity. A quantitative methodological approach was adopted using an online survey with 186 students from the higher education institution of the Porto School of Accouting and Business (ISCAP), of the Polytechnic Porto (Portugal). The results indicate that students who considered themselves to be creative don’t show intention of using AI chatbot services, despite finding them useful. This study seeks to encourage further academic and scientific exploration in a fast-growing and emerging field that is increasingly gaining relevancy in our society. As artificial intelligence tools become more common in our daily lives, the results of such research will continue to change. Consequently, future studies in this area are likely to produce different findings, highlighting the ever-evolving nature of this emerging field. This study affirms that the impact of artificial intelligence on the contemporary world is already substantial, driving significant transformations across multiple sectors, without the need for speculation about its future developments.
