Out of order, chaos

You may have been wondering when I would bring up the most telegenic obstacle to mathematical understanding, popularly known as chaos. The point I have been hammering on in the previous sections was that the universe is hard to describe; its workings may be too complex to discern meaningful patterns in them. Chaos, on the other hand, refers to the paradoxical scenario when a simple mathematical law of nature may lead to unpredictable outcomes.
