The chapter’s starting point is that IT expertise, institutions and centres have renewed interest in Benjamin Bloom and John Biggs’ taxonomies in interactions with the implementation of generative AI technology as a learning technology. However, this interaction requires clarification of the history and the different development interests and models involved. In this chapter, Bloom’s/Biggs taxonomies are therefore followed from the original model development (back to the 1950s) through the revival and adaptations of the decades. The institutional management of the traditions and the implementation of GAI technology are followed in exemplified form, through the study portal Studypedia, with reference to Aarhus University. Using the study portal Studypedia as an example, it is observed how the interest in the taxonomy is shifting from curriculum development handled by teachers/professionals/researchers, to also in a technical sense being a student tool for exams. However, in line with the implementation of AI/tools, the analysis follows another shift. In 2025, Studypedia emphasizes positioning GAI, which generative artificial intelligence is now abbreviated to, as “a valuable technology in your study work”. At the same time, Studypedia shifts interest away from the examination discourse and towards the learning discourse.

As an Intermezzo Between Taxonomies

摘要
