Intercultural Opportunities: Catching On, Fitting In, Giving Back
摘要
The author traces a life of intercultural learning, opportunities to apply that learning, challenges, and rewards. A key question to ask about any career is: Did it make a difference? Her answer is that while interculturalists were not able to ensure world peace, what they did (and still do) enabled some individuals to thrive in intercultural situations. She concludes that while it was not an evident career path in the 1960's becoming an interculturalist in the 21st century is now a clear option with educational programs, college degrees, internships, and good jobs.
