Using fixed orthodontic equipment as a treatment method has increasingly become the standard in orthodontic practice worldwide. According to the findings of epidemiological research, around thirty percent of the average population has either a moderate or a significant requirement for orthodontic treatment. Despite this, since the development of the acid-etch process and its application for the bonding of orthodontic brackets, one of the key concerns has been to restore the enamel surface to a state that is as close to its initial state as feasible while minimizing the amount of enamel loss that occurs after treatment. Alterations to enamel can occur due to bonding, debonding, and clean-up methods. These alterations include enamel loss brought on by etching, decalcification, and scratches on the enamel. The unfavorable effects on the color and aesthetics of enamel related to the alterations stated above should also be considered, in addition to the structural faults discussed previously.
