Cosmetic dentistry has always been part of daily dental practice. Therefore, changing the smile’s appearance is one of the most common reasons presented to the dentist as part of the comprehensive treatment plan of an individual because aesthetics has built confidence and success in the present era. Male dental appearance has some different aesthetics from female dental aesthetics. In our society, the role of men is typically emphasized through their physical activities, while women are more related to attractiveness. Male facial and dental characteristics differ when compared to females to achieve the role of their life. For this rationale, the male teeth proportion and smile lines vary slightly from the female teeth proportions. Women are stereotypically shown to fit society’s smile condition precisely, while men are notably shown more permissibly. Presently, society has shown a shift in the predominance of male-dominant traits. Several factors are responsible for the change in the appearance of the male smile, ultimately vitalizing confidence and making the individual successful. This chapter will assist the dentist in considering the effect of a male smile under the light of contemporary dental aesthetics to reflect on whether it is currently accepted or is just dictated by the dental concept of what appears to be a triumphant male smile.
