Transcutaneous Suture Lifts: Overview
摘要
Recently, there has been a spike in interest in minimally invasive treatments for facial rejuvenation, which has led to an increase in the popularity of thread-lifting. Thread-lifting is a procedure that has various advantages over the typical facelift. It involves the placement of barbed sutures along specified trajectories to lift the superficial musculoaponeurotic system to treat facial ptosis. Many people opt for minimally invasive procedures as scientists have gained a better knowledge of the mechanisms behind the aging process and the mechanical factors that contribute to it. Even though noninvasive neurotoxins, injectable dermal fillers, radiofrequency, and ablative resurfacing tools all play a crucial role in face rejuvenation, these treatments do not address the requirement to lift the laxity of the underlying ptotic tissues. To achieve the best possible outcomes with the fewest possible difficulties, it is necessary to have a comprehensive grasp and knowledge of the anatomy of the facial region. A popular method involves making a temporal incision that continues inferiorly to a preauricular incision, which then becomes postauricular as it bends around the ear and the hairline’s edge. Although there are numerous variations, this method is the most frequent. After carrying the incision horizontally along the sideburn/cheek junction, the next step is to have it vertically along or just posterior to the anterior hairline. This is an alternative method for doing the temporal section of the incision.
