Temporomandibular Disorders: Case Histories
摘要
The use of the umbrella term “temporomandibular disorders” underplays the complexity of a condition which can involve multiple anatomical structures and be affected by a wide range of biological, psychological and social aetiological factors. As a result, individuals living with temporomandibular disorder will present with a diverse and often confusing range of complaints and examination findings requiring individualised treatment strategies. This chapter presents several case histories, in a hope to emphasize the clinical variability and demonstrate how examination and management strategies outlined in earlier chapters of this book can be tailored to meet case-specific requirements.
