This chapter contains a cross-case synthesis of findings of the seven cases presented in Chaps. 2 – 8 . Between music and non-music groups, only a modest difference is identified in the participants’ quality of life rating. Music group participants’ quality of lifeQuality of life was rated at 0.29 point higher than that of the non-music group participants on a 7-point scale. Synthesis of the qualitative data from the seven cases leads to an emergence of 99 Opportunities in support of, and 17 Obstacles that post a challenge to, these group participation toward their chances to improve their quality of life. Although there are overlaps among these Opportunities and among these Obstacles, it is excellent that the former is a much longer list than the latter. These Opportunities and Obstacles should hint at practical implications presented in the following chapter.
