The aim of this chapter is to analyse the effects of structural, administrative and institutional reforms on the governance of organisations in Africa. To address this issue, a particular focus is placed on the introduction of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), a continental free trade project designed to facilitate trade across the African continent. The subject is approached taking into account both the theoretical and conceptual concerns whose discourse is carried by academics and the empirical realities delivered by professionals.
