Transport and logistics remain an essential pillar of development in Africa and are of great interest. They are key to local, intercontinental and international competitiveness. However, with the globalisation of economic activities, Africa has seen its borders become more permeable, thanks to FDI flows, becoming for some observers a veritable worksite of transformation. This emergence, however fragile, at the heart of complex, heterogeneous and contrasting realities, appears more like a permanent variable in strategic, organisational, managerial and ecological concerns. As a result, the chapter highlights the challenges of digital technology in the development models of companies in the sector. The qualitative empirical study conducted between 2013 and 2024 is based on 20 semi-structured interviews, supplemented by data collected from secondary documentary sources. The results allow us to answer the following questions: How, within the context of African realities, can we understand the sequence of logistics and transport activities? What innovations are needed to improve logistics and transport?
