Sustainable Tourism in Society 5.0: A Strategic Analysis of the State of Roraima, Brazil

Society 5.0 mixes technology and innovation to promote social and economic well-being while addressing sustainable tourism challenges. This research analyzes tourism in Roraima through the lens of these principles. The methodology combines theoretical analysis, grounded in a literature review of Society 5.0 and strategic frameworks, with empirical analysis utilizing the SWOR matrix to explore tourism dynamics in the region. Results indicate that adopting advanced technologies, such as IoT and artificial intelligence, enhances tourism management by reducing environmental impacts and personalizing visitor experiences. Empowering local communities and prioritizing education are crucial to ensuring sustainability and cultural preservation. Furthermore, developing sustainable infrastructure and fostering partnerships that directly benefit local communities are key components of this research. By integrating the principles of Society 5.0, tourism in Roraima becomes more sustainable, inclusive, and innovative, setting a benchmark for balancing economic growth with environmental and cultural stewardship.
