Achieving sustainable development goals is the significant aim of Thailand’s development policy. However, Thailand has continued to face urban environmental issues in recent years. Therefore, this research article is an education and evaluation of the development potential for sustainable development goals in Thailand’s 26 provinces with large cities through the calculation of a composite index and the estimation of standard scores from provincial statistics that are consistent with goal 11’s indicator. According to the research findings, inequality in development persists in several parts of Thailand. Cities or provinces that witnessed industrial growth in compliance with government policies or that situated near the nation’s development central are not present more potential for urban development in according with sustainable development goals than other locations. Even so, economic growth and closeness to main development areas have resulted in the emergence of urban environmental problems. On the contrary, cultural and natural uniqueness are important characteristics that make a city or province more inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable than other sites, thereby contributing to the achievement of future sustainable development goals.
