This chapter discusses investing in a Bond Portfolio. A portfolio of securities is a collection of different financial assets owned by an investor, including stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and other investments. The purpose of a portfolio is to diversify investments, balance risk, and help achieve specific financial goals, such as capital growth or income. A detailed analysis of investing in a bond portfolio is carried out. The following characteristics of a bond portfolio are considered: immunization of a bond portfolio, yield of a bond portfolio, average term of income receipt on a bond portfolio, duration and convexity of a bond portfolio.
