Scenario-Based Quantification of the Impact of Automated Vehicles on Traffic
摘要
With the introduction of automated vehicles, it can be expected that new, previously unseen situations occur in hybrid traffic of both automated and human controlled vehicles. This impact of automated vehicles requires traffic metrics that quantify these changes. In this paper’s state of the art section, such an impact quantification method is presented. It is then used as part of a new methodology that shows an impact analysis relying on splitting the operational design domain of automated vehicles into scenarios. A proof of concept shows that this split into sub-spaces is necessary for impact quantification of automated vehicles.
