Performance and Analysis of Power Distribution in Low Voltage Consumer End and Reconfiguration of Distribution Lines
摘要
Improper Power Distribution lines in low voltage distribution end suffers the power loss in the cables, these losses significantly creates the significant impact in energy billing and effects the reliability of the system to greater extent. This research focus on studying the performance of the power distribution in typical educational institution which is supplied at Low voltage of 0.415kV.Institution which is taken for the study is having the connected load of 110 kW and consist of loads which includes computers, electronic lab equipment’s, CNC machines, Welding Machinery, Electrical lab equipment’s and domestic loads such as fans & Air-conditioner units. Power distribution in the system under study is modeled and analysis was carried out using the MiPower tool. Reconfiguration of distribution lines connecting to major loads was carried out and outcome of the modified system was presented. Reactive power compensation using static capacitor in existing system and reconfigured system was also carried out, results of the same was discussed in this paper.
