Manifested First-Order Zone at the Dislocation
摘要
The study of process zones of a manifested first order holds significant importance for their theory since manifested first-order transitions are more prevalent in nature when viewed objectively. The order parameter undergoes a substantial jump at the binodal in such transitions, often reaching values close to the saturation point. Consequently, atomic displacements within this context can become comparable to the elementary lattice cell’s size. The latter determines specific properties of such transitions. This exploration sheds light on the manifested first-order process zone’s unique characteristics and implications (Boulbitch and Korzhenevskii, First presented here).
