In this chapter, we extend our general findings formulated previously to the case of an edge dislocation. We present a refined analytical approximation for the bifurcation point of the second-order zone at the edge dislocation, which closely aligns with previous estimates and simulation results obtained in the present section. We also conduct simulations for the second-order zone, enabling us to numerically determine the bifurcation point (Boulbitch and Korzhenevskii, First published here).

摘要

In this chapter, we extend our general findings formulated previously to the case of an edge dislocation. We present a refined analytical approximation for the bifurcation point of the second-order zone at the edge dislocation, which closely aligns with previous estimates and simulation results obtained in the present section. We also conduct simulations for the second-order zone, enabling us to numerically determine the bifurcation point (Boulbitch and Korzhenevskii, First published here).
