The use of the term “organization” is often rash and arbitrary. We apply the words “organize” or “organization” when describing the creation of an orderly system of operations that are geared to a specific goal. We speak of “organizing” and “organization” when different interdependent actions are assembled “into sensible sequences that generate sensible outcomes” (Weick 1979, p. 3). Of course, we also speak of the “organization” of a family party, the “organization” of groceries in the black market, or the “organization” of a group of friends’ seating arrangement at their regular table at the bar.
