The chapter highlights that, with soils holding far more C than the atmosphere, even modest improvements in soil management can make a significant difference in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and enhancing resilience. It also discusses international initiatives such as the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, COP28, and the 4 per 1000 initiative that support these efforts, positioning C farming as a practical and scalable approach for a sustainable future.
