Laparoscopic and Thoracoscopic Ivor Lewis Esophagectomy

Esophagectomy for esophageal cancer is one of the most challenging operations in thoracic surgery. Minimally invasive Ivor Lewis esophagectomy reduces surgical morbidity while offering comparable oncologic benefits than open surgery. This chapter outlines our surgical approach, providing surgical tips and troubleshooting strategies to improve outcomes and avoid complications.
