Supporting Phonology in Refugee Students’ Reading Skills with Digital Games
摘要
Reading skills are essential for refugee children to acquire the language of their new home and have access to an education. Reading is one of the two language abilities that will give input in language learning; nevertheless, for the reading skill to be realized properly, the letters in the target language must be vocalized appropriately. This section will be divided into three subheadings based on the topics covered. The first subheading will explore the role of reading abilities in language learning and second language learning. The second subheading will go over the relevance of phonology in second language education. In the third sub-heading, examples of digital games for developing refugee children’s phonological skills in the second language will be presented.
