Eyes Wide Design: Reflecting and Reformulating Dissemination Methodologies
摘要
This paper expresses the theme of social media doubleness through a double entendre in the title—Eyes Wide Design—and through the choice, for the Stanley Kubrick’s movie ‘Eyes Wide Shut’, whose subtle motifs seems to raise the question whether life is a real or a dream, something real or just virtual. For human being what is significant here is that the events exert such a profound influence on both, the being and his/her environment, that the life of all involved is in continuous change. Thus, the contribution of this study lies in the reflection and reformulation of dissemination methodologies, integrating the phenomenon of social networks, film industry and AI into design research. Methodologically, the study is exploratory and based on field ethnography, establishing the prominence of co-design and the participatory design process to create sustainability, knowledge and innovation. This hypothesis serves as a fundamental intersection where the preservation of manufacturing identity, the development of modern design education, and the application of digital technology converge, shaping new models for culture dissemination.
