This paper presents a proposal of activities for middle school students to bring them closer to the creation of digital technologies with the aim of developing computational thinking skills. This initiative is linked to current trends in approaching these types of skills, which are fundamental for the training of students in problem solving, creativity, and innovation. A pilot experience is described with nine middle school students who have validated the proposed methodology and have shown interest in this type of project. The results allow us to recognize the strengths and aspects of improvement for future implementations. One of the main results has been the acceptance and motivation of this proposal and the application of computational thinking skills that the participants positively valued.
