The Internet of Things (IoT) and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) networks have undergone remarkable advancements in recent years, driven by their extensive range of applications, diverse functionalities, and ease of implementation. This study presents the design and development of a remote laboratory to facilitate the teaching, exploration, and advancement of techniques, architectures, and protocols for end-to-end IIoT systems. This approach enables the creation of systems encompassing the entire IoT ecosystem, from sensor deployment to cloud computing and big data integration. Within this IoT framework, developers can configure, program, visualize, and test individual components, fostering the implementation of a fully integrated IIoT system. The development process will leverage virtualized infrastructure to manage resource allocation and reservations dynamically.
