The economy of each country allocates a significant role to the health care system. The socio-economic development of any country is inextricably linked with the health of its population. Thus, ensuring the health of the population is a strategic task of the state. The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation has established standards by which the assessment of the reorganization of health care is carried out at the present stage, and not based on the actual need for medical and preventive institutions of resources. The disadvantage is that there are practically no studies on the possibilities and predominantly effective forms of using some hospitals. Today, one of the most important issues in healthcare is improving efficiency. Improving efficiency is determined by a combination of organizational and economic factors, which consist of the management of medical and preventive institutions. Several stages aimed at ensuring the process of increasing the efficiency of the activities of a medical and preventive institution have been identified, such as assessing the level of efficiency of medical care; analyzing the level of efficiency of medical care; developing recommendations. As a result, there is a need for a comprehensive efficiency evaluation of the performance of a medical and preventive institution.
