Affordance Based Engineering Creativity Stimuli Based on Electroencephalography
摘要
The paper considers the urgent problem of stimulating engineering creativity under the control of neurophysiological activity using electroencephalography (EEG). It is proposed to link engineering creative activity with the emergence of ideas for solving innovative problems, tracked by the so-called affordances. Each affordance determines the relationship between the object and the interacting subject. Accordingly, the emergence of affordances in solving creative problems should be tracked by changing the characteristics on the EEG. To conduct the research, a specialized stand was developed that allows generating tests for users requiring solving inventive problems using the TRIZ methodology of invention and rationalization, widely used in Russia. The tests were selected in such a way that affordances were generated when solving them. The results of experimental studies presented changes in EEG parameters when solving creative engineering problems. This confirms the prospects of using the proposed approach in organizing engineering activities at innovative enterprises. #CSOC1120.
