The integration of Artificial Intelligence into education, particularly Vocational Education and Training (VET), presents significant opportunities. The “Artificial Intelligence /& Sustainability in VET Education” (AISVE) project focuses on integrating AI and sustainability into VET, starting with a training kit and a structured training program. The AISVE Kit is designed to facilitate computer vision (CV) projects using transfer learning with pre-trained models and Internet of Things (IoT) integration. Training sessions held in Turkey and Greece addressed CV applications, ethical AI practices, and practical skills development. The Kirkpatrick Model was used to evaluate the training program and the resukts demonstrated high levels of satisfaction and significant knowledge acquisition. The project’s future stages will include the expansion of its reach to 100 European VET institutions, the development of a massive open online course for teacher training, and the establishment of a collaborative ecosystem through a digital platform and AI clubs.
