Workplace Gender-Based Violence and Its Economic Implications for Women in the Global Economy
摘要
The worldwide problem of workplace gender-based violence (WGBV) has far-reaching consequences for the ability of women to participate in the global economy. The primary aim of this study is to systematically analyze academic literature published between 2015 and 2024 on WGBV and its economic implications for women in the global economy. It identifies key contributors, thematic trends, and evolving research structures to provide insights that advance scholarly understanding and inform policy-making. The search strategy was structured following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) framework and implemented through a comprehensive search query in the Scopus database. By recognizing influential authors, journals, and institutions and corresponding collaborations, the study highlights the need to foster greater collaboration. Thematic trends and research structure analyses reveal knowledge gaps and identify underexplored areas for future research. The study underscores the need for enhanced scholarly collaboration and targeted efforts to better understand and mitigate the direct and indirect financial costs of WGBV. By emphasizing the need to address these challenges, it aims to foster a more equitable global economy.
