Surf tourism emerged as a new field of research only a few decades ago and literature about quality of service in this area of study is scarce. Therefore, this article aims to identify the main trends in this context by means of a bibliometric method. The Scopus and Web of Science databases were used to find relevant data on the topic from 1997 to 2024, namely publication trends by year and country, the leading journals and affiliations and the most relevant studies within the theme. The results indicate that research on quality of service in surf tourism is growing and that it incorporates a variety of dimensions, including sustainability and environmental concerns. One research gap identified relates to the use of technology to enhance quality of service. Thus, implications for future research and tourism management can be drawn from this study.

摘要
