Normal Echo-Plane Correlations with Morphology
摘要
This chapter compares standard echocardiographic (ultrasonic) tomograms with those made on heart specimens to understand the process of echocardiographic examination and diagnosis. To decide through which plane of the heart the echographic image must pass, it is necessary to understand how to examine the heart, where to place the ultrasound transducer, and through which orientation the transducer must pass. To identify these ultrasonic cuts and the different planes of transducer position, we have included a heart cartoon to show the plane of passage of the sound through the heart.
