[18F]FET PET is already widely used in the clinical work-up of glioma. However, it has been shown recently that also in the diagnostic and therapeutic work-up of brain metastases [18F]FET PET can give additional information. In this report we present a case with dubious MR findings, while [18F]FET PET showed multiple focal areas of increased uptake concordant with leptomeningeal carcinomatosis. In conclusion, in line with recent literature, this case illustrates the added value of amino-acid PET in the clinical work-up of brain metastases.
